ITLS Pediatric focuses on the special needs of young trauma patients. In 8 hours you'll learn the principles of proper assessment, management, critical interventions, patient packaging, and rapid transport — plus proven techniques for communicating with young patients and their parents. You'll leave confident and competent caring for a critically injured child.
Prerequisite: a current ITLS Provider certification.

Pre-hospital personnel: first responders, emergency medical responders, firefighters, PCP, ACP, CCP, and wilderness or industrial medical staff.
In-hospital & clinic personnel: ER, ICU and trauma nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians.

Certification is valid for 3 years from course completion.
Course materials
The textbook is not included in the course fee, but it deepens your knowledge and improves your chance of passing. The recommended manual is the ITLS Pediatric Book, 3rd Edition. Manuals can be collected from our training centre at 301 Moodie Drive, Suite 106, Nepean, Ontario, or ordered online.
