Courses and certification
What is ITLS?
International Trauma Life Support is a globally recognized trauma education organization. ITLS certification is accepted internationally and provides a common assessment framework across prehospital and hospital care.
Which course is right for me?
ITLS Basic Provider suits BLS-level responders. ITLS Advanced Provider suits ACP, CCP, nurses, physicians, and military medical personnel. If you are certified and current, take the Refresher. If you hold another trauma certification, ask about the Bridge course.
How long is certification valid?
ITLS Provider certification is valid for three years. Recertify through a Refresher or full Provider course before your expiry date.
Is there pre-course work?
Yes. Pre-course reading and online components must be completed before day one. Students who arrive unprepared struggle with the pace.
Is the course recognized by my employer or college?
ITLS is recognized internationally and widely accepted for continuing education. Confirm specific requirements with your regulator or medical director.
Registration
How do I register?
Register online through the course calendar. Payment is processed in Canadian dollars.
Can I transfer or cancel?
Submit transfer and cancellation requests in writing as early as possible. Contact us to discuss options.
Do you offer courses in French?
Bilingual delivery is available for group and on-site courses. Contact us for scheduling.
Instructors
How do I become an instructor?
Hold current ITLS Provider certification, complete the ITLS Instructor Course, and finish a monitored teaching assignment. See Become an Instructor.
