The ITLS Recertification course keeps experienced providers and instructors current with the ITLS curriculum and skills. It focuses on refreshing trauma assessment and management for those who have already completed the Basic or Advanced Provider course.
Who it's for
Experienced, currently-certified ITLS providers across every care setting.
Pre-hospital personnel: first responders, emergency medical responders, firefighters, PCP, ACP, CCP, and wilderness or industrial medical staff.
In-hospital & clinic personnel: ER, ICU and trauma nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians.

- ▪Spine management — short SMR devices, emergency rescue & rapid extrication
- ▪Spine management — helmet management, log roll & long backboard
- ▪Traction splints
- ▪Chest decompression & fluid resuscitation
Certification testing

- Practical exam
Successful completion renews your ITLS certification for 3 years.
Course materials
Come prepared: review the ITLS Provider Manual and study the Pre-Test in advance to be ready for the written exam.
